Center for Essential Education at Homestead Heritage

Visitors to Brazos de Dios

Visitors come year-round from diverse educational, social, cultural and religious groups to tour our crafts village and working homestead.

We have tens of thousands of visitors coming to Brazos de Dios each year, including an average of 5,000 public and private school children who come on spring field trips. These visitors are exposed, some for the first time, to an alternative culture where the essentials of life are provided through a simple, harmonious lifestyle based on quality craftsmanship and agricultural skills that nurture values of integrity, personal responsibility, community service and care.

Our crafts village and homestead are open every week throughout the year. Visitors are welcome to tour our workshops, take a hayride or just stop by our deli to enjoy fresh, wholesome meals and homemade ice cream.
